I would suggest every newcomer of Calgary attend this program because it will give you a clear idea of where our focus should be. Being from an entirely different country, with different cultures and value set, it will be difficult for us to build up our career here without having a connection and knowing about the basics about the culture of the country.

This is where CCIS and Calgary: A New Chapter program plays a significant role. They will guide us, connect with others and will not let us go until and unless we settle in this country. Good Luck."

For the Calgary: A New Chapter program, I really appreciate it and lucky enough that they’ve given me the chance to know more such as culture, education system (how to upgrade), environment as well and a lot more.

The program helped me and my family to take time to adjust and adopt the Canadian way. Thank you very much and I will definitely recommend every new comer to attend so that they will understand and adopt themselves here easily.

Attending Calgary: A New Chapter was one of the best decisions I have made after landing in Canada. It helped me understand the workings and the daily activities needed to be done while living in Canada and how to make my transition from my home country to Canada much smoother.

I couldn’t have asked for a better program coordinator who made sure that all of us in the program were made felt welcome and understood every aspect of the program. Thank you so much CCIS for integrating the Canada: a New Chapter.

The Calgary New Chapter program is a great initiative by CCIS to help new immigrants settle in Canada in almost every way of life. This program must be attended by every newcomer as it would help them prepare for every situation such as housing laws, medical facilities and fraudulent calls/emails, basics about job search, importance of networking and understanding police services in Calgary.

I would like to thank the coordinator for organizing such a wonderful program and helping me bridge the gap.
