I am grateful for having had the opportunity to be part of the "Calgary: A New Chapter" program, where newcomers received invaluable information for settling into this beautiful city.
The program covered a wide range of topics, from the basics, such as opening a bank account, to more specific and complex ones, like the requirements for applying for Canadian citizenship. The sessions on job searching techniques and funding for education were particularly beneficial, offering practical advice and resources that I can apply immediately.
I highly recommend this program to all newcomers to Calgary. It will equip you with the knowledge and tools to make your transition smoother and more manageable.

This session and speakers gave us useful information about the first steps here, about health, banks, and the legal system, they gave us a lot of information and resources to improve our skills, resume, networking, and research. I got a very positive experience from participating in “Calgary: A New Chapter”. The sessions covered essential topics such as law, education, healthcare, banking, and job search in Canada. Each presenter is a professional in their field, which is great because they share their experience and answer all the questions clearly and in a welcoming atmosphere.

When you first arrive at a place, you must find out about the habits of the inhabitants of that place so that you know where to put your feet and where not to put them. What are you allowed to do and what is prohibited? What possibilities does this place offer you for your development? If you don't have this information, then your integration and development will suffer.

Attending the Calgary: A New Chapter program helped me understand what was important and how to protect my information better. Now I know what steps I need to take for a smoother adaptation in Canada.
