Over the past three days, I had the honour of participating in Calgary: A New Chapter.
As a newcomer, I found this program to be a true game-changer.
The sessions were packed with valuable insights from incredible speakers who not only shared their expertise but also took the time to answer our questions with detail and care.
It covered essential topics such as policing, scams and fraud awareness, employment, healthcare and stress management, and overall guidance making it a comprehensive resource for newcomers.
This program is a fantastic opportunity for new Canadians to navigate their settlement journey smoothly.
I sincerely appreciate the CCIS team, the program coordinator, and the guest speakers for their dedication, teamwork, and outstanding presentation of the program.

Participating in CCIS Calgary: A New Chapter was an eye-opening experience. I gained valuable knowledge, connected with other professionals on LinkedIn, and realized I’m not alone in my integration challenges—there are always solutions and resources available.

I recently had the pleasure of attending the orientation sessions at CCIS- Calgary: A New Chapter, and I can confidently say it was an enriching experience. It was a well-organized 3-day presentation with different individuals and experts in their respective fields who shared their knowledge and expertise in health care, Savvy Newcomers (Fraud/Scams Awareness), Job Search Strategies and Banking in Canada.
They also highlight our concerns and problems to help us with our smooth transition in Canada. I encourage all newcomers to attend, as it provides the best and most honest insights into the country.
