Moving to a new country can be quite daunting, especially when you are starting fresh without connections. I am grateful to CCIS and my employment counsellor for introducing me to Calgary: A New Chapter when I first arrived in Canada.
In my view, this workshop is the perfect starting guide for any newcomer to Calgary. For three days, Iuliana and Olja facilitated presentations from resource personnel in various fields, such as banking, education, policing, transportation and job hunting. I had the opportunity to get answers from experts and gain confidence to begin my journey in the beautiful city of Calgary.
I will recommend this workshop over and over again to everyone who is making Calgary their home. Calgary: A New Chapter truly sets you on the right path, if like me, you initially feel lost in this country and city.
